Wong Peng Koon ('PK') is the chairman and principal director of PK Wong & Associates LLC. In his numerous years of practice PK has developed expertise in corporate and commercial matters as well as banking and securities matters. He has particular expertise in multi-national and cross-border joint venture documentation, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and re-organisation, infrastructure developments, Euro-dollar financial transactions, loan syndication, financial restructuring (including advising on participation in Asian Development Bank loans), securities regulations, unit trust operations and the structuring of multi-million dollar trust transactions.

Particular transactions that PK has been involved in include telecommunications privatisation in Indonesia, water infrastructure projects in the Philippines, Papua New Guinea and India and structuring reverse listings on NASDAQ and other exchanges.

In his years of practice, PK has also developed close contacts with various business interests operating not only regionally but also internationally, ranging from Australia to Hong Kong - SAR, South East Asia, the Middle-East, Africa, Eastern Europe and North America.

Mark Wong ('Mark') is the managing director and director in charge of the Corporate and Commercial Department of the LLC. He has had wide and varied experience in corporate and commercial matters and has advised and represented clients on joint venture and shareholders agreements; advised consortiums on the establishment of corporate structures and tendering for infrastructure projects. Some of the projects Mark has been involved in include, advising and acting in:
        
v tenders for power plants in India;
        
v water infrastructure developments in Philippines, Papua New Guinea and India;
        
v telecommunications projects in Indonesia for the KSO privatisation in Kalimantan;
        
v resort developments in the Caribbean;
        
v one of the Singapore counsel for Hewlett Packard in its acquisition of Compact
        
v  in Singapore;
        
v debt restructuring involving Thakral Corporation Ltds Section 210 Scheme of
        
v  Arrangement;
        
v acquisitions and disposal of tanking terminals;
        
v providing legal advice in relation to HAZMAT and environmental disaster
        
v  control operations;
        
v acquisition and de-listing of British American Tobacco Limited from the SGX.

Mark has also advised clients in banking and securities matters and structured preference share issues and convertible bond issues for clients.  

Mark has had particular experience in acting for computer and telecommunication companies and ecommerce companies in intellectual property matters and in the negotiation and drafting of technology contracts, carrier hotel agreements, hosting agreements, licence agreements, leased line and broadband access agreements.

Mark regularly advises clients on the establishment of effective corporate structures in various jurisdictions including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Bahamas, Samoa and the British Virgin Islands.

Mark has also worked directly with the Attorney General of Antigua and Barbuda on the drafting of legislation for adoption by the government of Antigua and Barbuda, Caribbean in respect of tax and resort development concessions.

Andrew Ang ("Andrew") is the director in charge of the Litigation Department of the LLC. For over ten years Andrew has been involved in civil and commercial litigation matters and particularly advised various parties in some of the larger and more complex insolvency matters and corporate restructuring in Singapore. Prior to joining PK Wong & Associates on 1 March 2004, he was a partner in a leading restructuring/ insolvency practice, in one of the larger law firms in Singapore.

Andrew has been involved in various dispute resolution matters, including a claim against a prominent international bank based in Singapore in relation to a landmark claim of international significance relating to the enforceability of foreign exchange transactions around the world, following the imposition of currency controls. The bank successfully defended the claim and the subsequent appeal.  Andrew has acted for and advised institutions and corporations in various matters in the High Court and Subordinate Courts. Andrew has also been involved in arbitrations both in Singapore and overseas. His litigation experience relates to contractual claims, banking matters, employment disputes and insolvency related matters.

Andrew has acted for and worked closely with insolvency and restructuring practitioners. He has also acted for and advised prominent banks based locally, including international banks and financial institutions based in Singapore, in relation to restructuring of multi-million dollar debts. Andrew has advised the Judicial Managers and Liquidators of Japanese retailer Sogo Department Stores, operators of the Fort Canning Country Club, Beng and Ooi Medical Services and Alliance Technology Development Ltd. He has also advised the Judicial Managers and subsequent Liquidators of the Tang Dynasty Village theme park, Pillar Corporation Pte Ltd and the Measurex Group of Companies with subsidiaries in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Mauritius and China.  Andrew has also advised the Liquidators of various companies including SAL Construction Pte Ltd. Andrew has also acted in relation to various Schemes of Arrangement, include advising the Scheme Managers of Hi-Tek Construction Pte Ltd and Hong Lai Huat Construction Pte Ltd.

Basil Ong ("Basil") has been in practice for more than 10 years dealing mainly with litigation related matters. In particular he has experience in insurance related matters especially in all types of third party claims. These include property damage, personal injury, workmen compensation, general liability, public liability and other policy disputes. He has also rendered advice on numerous insurance related policy issues. Basil has undertaken the conduct of a wide spectrum of other civil litigation matters which include the application for injunctions and the setting aside of such injunctions, bankruptcy and other insolvency issues, matrimonial and probate proceedings, contractual disputes, construction claims, debt recovery matters and arbitration.

In addition, he has had experience in handling admiralty matters involving claims from ship repairers, ship chandlers and mortgagee actions.

He also has varied experience in the protection of intellectual property interests especially through the conduct of raids on infringing parties.
REBECCA CHUNG WAN-YI

Rebecca Chung ("Rebecca"), graduated in 1991 with a Second-Upper Honours Law Degree in England. Rebeccas areas of practice include Family Law, Conveyancing Law, Trust and Estate Law. Rebecca has represented families in court, advised on property and property-related bank matters, handled probate, will-writing, and trust matters.

Rebecca previously worked with the Economic Development Board of Singapore ("EDB") and the Economic Development Board Investments Pte Ltd ("EDBI"), where she was involved in venture capital investments, and the promotion of the venture capital industry in Singapore. Rebecca worked on many projects, some of which involved working with major MNCs from Japan, USA, UK, and Europe. In these projects, other then participating in making investment decisions, which included due dilligence on companies and industries, Rebecca also worked on the legal aspect of these projects, which involved
mainly the drafting of joint venture and shareholders agreements. Rebeccas experience at EDB and EDBI also gave her insight into industries such as the electronics, chemical, logistics, construction, services and IT industries. Several companies, in which she helped make investments into, have since been listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited ("SGX-ST").

Rebecca has advised financial institutions and conducted training for their employees, to offer personal will-writing services to their clients. She has spoken at public seminars and given talks organised by these financial institutions or together with them. These seminars and talks were organised to help the public understand the importance of will-writing, trust and estate law.
